  On each occasion that we've been there we've gone for the very good value menu del dia but check to see if they're doing escudella soup which might not be on the menu but is delicious and filling. The menu itself includes several hearty dishes that will take the edge off any appetite and finishes with a range of mainly traditional desserts. They often serve Mel i Mato, a local speciality of a type of cottage cheese with honey. A great way to finish an excellent meal.

  We first tried this place on spec a few years back simply because it was one of the few places open on a Monday late in the year. It turned out to be a good choice.

  We went for calcotada and the food was absolutely fabulous!! We were a big group and yet the service was very good with a very decent price. I strongly recommend the place especially if you are around during the calcot season.

  The restaurant itself has an understated elegance with white linen tablecloths and a traditional interior but with large windows at the front letting in lots of natural light.
